You asked for it....

Alright, you asked for it. here's another little piece of Shane's story. Hope you guys like it, and as always, your welcomed to give me your feed back ;D
"Shane Carmichael you need to clean up your act," The man across from me, my principal Henry Bark, glared at me, looking like he wished he could reach over and wipe the smug grin from my face. I folded my arms over my chest and glared back at Mr. Bark. "Shane, I know your better then this stunt then your pulling now," He tried again, sighing and wrapping his fingers around the arms of his chair. I leaned back in mine, rocking it on its back legs. " Do you?" I asked in a sarcastic tone. "Do I what?" Bark asked, folding his arms over his chest in a way that was similar to the way I had mine. "How do you know I'm better then this?" I emphasized the word better. "Your just hanging out with the wrong crowd, Shane, if you tried...""What's to say I'm not?" I retorted. Mr. Bark sighed and grabbed a pencil off hyis desk, twirling it between his fingers. I almost laughed but it came out in a half whisper and barely made it out of my mouth before it silenced, echoing in the room for a few seconds before it was snuffed out like a candel. "Shane, what do you want to do with her life?" Mr. Bark asked. "I don't know," I chuckled. "Come on Shane," He tried me again. I thought for a minuet before I answered. "I want to be a lawyer," I said, dropping the tough guy act. "Ok, now we're getting somewhere," Mr. Bark's eyes softened a little. "Then work for it, if you want to be a lawyer, go for it," Mr. Bark said. I looked at him in disbelief. I'm sure my jaw dropped to the floor. My chair landed on the floor with a thump. "You heard me, go for it, Shane," Mr. Bark gave me a half smile. "I'm in grade 12," I regained my composure. "Yeah, and I'm 51," Mr. Bark replied. I glared at him, not getting his point. "What I'm trying to saty is go for it, Shane, don't let age stop you. You'll be graduating in 3 months, get it together, Shane," Mr. Bark said. I nodded and swallowed the lump growing in my throat. "Thatta boy" He touched my shoulder. "I took the liberty of signing you up from some extra curricular activites here at school," Now it was my turn to grow. "Like what?" I finally asked, my tough guy persona back in play. "Tutoring under privaliged kids, helping the grounds crew and a few select students clean the grounds at lunch on Monday's," Mr. Bark explained. I raised an eyebrow. "Get it together," He reminded me. I nodded. "Now get to class," He shooed me out the door.

Okay, you asked for it and I gave it to you
let me know what you think

Your Pick

When I started this blog I was sure I was going to have so much to write about I would want to write more then once a day. How wrong I was! Sure, I have things to write about, but not interesting things. My life isn't all that interesting, it's not totally crazy and if something does happen, it's usually not that exciting and I'd rather not bore you to tears as I talk about it. But now, I have absolutely nothing to write about so I'm giving you a chance to pick what you want me to talk about, because I have nothing and I want to write more. odd huh, how I want to write but I have nothing to say. So comment and tell me what you want me to say, and I'll pick one and talk about it :D
Can't wait to hear what you're going to come up with

Good girl :D

I'm being careful not to move too fast. Almost all of my right side is skinned and cut and gross. You probably want to know how i managed to get into such trouble. Well i was walking my dog yesterday, going to put some stuff in the mailbox. Anyway while we were walking there were these three dogs, a big chocolate lab and two of her grown up puppies. They seemed to have a problem with us walking down 'her' street. So she, and the puppies, started chasing us, snapping their teeth and growling. So me and my dog started running in the other direction. I kept looking over my shoulder to make sure the dogs weren't right behind me. I'm not a very fast runner, though I was running as fast as i could, my dog can still run faster. She was running so fast I tripped and was drug up the pavement. it wasn't that fun, ok it wasn't fun at all, it hurt. Not a good way to start off the warm weather. Is it wrong to think that without Karma pulling me away I would have been bit? I think I would have been hurt a lot worse if she hadn't pulled me. you can choose to believe me or not but this is my blog, my story, my way of looking at things, this is me, and that, is what I saw :D

Angel's laughter

Today, at the lady's Bible study that I babysit for, there was this little girl, Camille (pronounced Cammie) that could only speak French. Now this turned out to be a bit of a problem since none of the workers spoke very much french. I spoke the most french and I'd only taken french for two years in school so that shows you how little we knew. She was so sweet and adorable but so quiet. During our game time she started crying and mumbling something in french.I rubbed her back for a while, humming softly in her ear. now we didn't have a clue what she was saying and I'm sure we looked like idiots, motioning with our hands while we tried to guess what she was saying. Fortunatly, one of the mom's from the study knew french so she came to our rescue. Turned out that Camille was fine, just wanted to go home. We distracted her with a snack and I, using the small amount of french in my vocabulary, figured out she wanted goldfish and juice. Next we played playdough, Camille never leaving my side. I watched her as she carefully smoothed out her ball of purple playdough and cut out a shape. She held it up to me once she was finished, wanting me to admire her hard work. "Tres Bien!" I said, using one of the french words I knew quite well, and tapped her on the nose. That's when it happened. It was nothing big, nothing world changing, but just then Camille started to laugh. Just a small laugh but she laughed all the same. I helped her make another shape and, again, when she handed me the shape I smiled, tapped her on the nose and said "Tres Bien!" and again I was rewarded with her angelic giggle. We countinued this game for a while, with me tapping her little nose and being rewarded by her sweet laugh. Then came a challenge, she let out a string of French words. For a minuet I was lost, until I noticed her runny nose. I hopped up, grabbed a kleenex and wiped her nose. And she replied with her wide smile that reached her eyes. We played our game for a few more minuets before her friend's mom, she came with her friend, showed up. She squealed and ran towards her friend's mom's legs, grabbing on and holding tight. I was walking out the door after all the children had gone home and I saw tiny Camille peaking out from behind a post. I stepped closer and knelt down. "Ourevouir Camille" I touched her back. "Ourevouir" She said. I had no clue what Camille said but we found our own language, laughter. It can be a bridge between to cultures, as I learned today. hearing sweet Camille's laughter was the highlight of my day. I didn't know her language, and she didn't know mine, but we were able to communicate using the one voice we both knew. we both knew how to laugh, and that's what we did, together.

A steady up

"Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Phillipians 4:4"
This verse always used to bother me. I used to think that rejoice meant be happy and that we were supposed to be happy in whatever situation we were in, good or bad. I recently discovered I was wrong. It does say Rejoice, rejoice means to be glad or take delight in. It doesn't say be glad in your situation. It says REJOICE IN THE LORD!!!! It doesn't say rejoice in the situation the Lord puts you in, it says rejoice in the Lord. Rejoice in God's power and love and mercy and promise, no matter what situation you are in. always rejoice in the Lord. This means that our hope is not up and down as our situations rise and fall. If we put our trust in the Lord instead of in the calling he gives us, our hope is a steady up. When we rejoice IN THE LORD our rejoice is always. It doesn't depend on where we are or how we feel. It's a steady up

Freedom

This is My Horsey Freedom. We had a mini photo shoot today and these are some of the pictures. Hope you guys like them

Rejoice

In the last few days I've ended some things, and started others.
I finished the second book in the series which i posted the prolouge the other day, and started the third.
I finished off my goal to get all but one unit in math done before spring break, and started another L.A one, getting ahead on my goal there.
I finished getting all my tests done, ultrasounds, bloodwork, bone dencity, and, well, let's just not start that one again.
I finished reading the third book in the series I'm reading, and started the fourth.
I'm pretty sure you probably don't want to hear all the rest of my 'starts and finishes' so I'll stop there. I know that whenever I start something, it has to come to an end. you don't want to know how many times i cried over the story i'm writing because it was coming to an end, three, just for the record. As Easter is quickly approaching, I will start another season, another chapter, another start. As Spring break is just around the corner (Tomorrow!!!) I am finishing up another part of my school year. I know that one day, all my start's that I am now celebrating will come to an end. I know soon I will finish this part of my life and start another. But for now, I do one thing. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say Rejoice. I am Rejoicing in these starts in my life. Because last November, I didn't think I would have any more starts at all.
